ECLI Montessori seeks an Anglophone 6-9 Montessori-trained guide for its bilingual Montessori school in Thonon-Les-Bains, Haute-Savoie, France.
For a full-time position as a co-teacher. Non-violent communication training is welcome. We are starting on August 26th 2024.
We are a Bilingual Montessori school between Lake Geneva and the Alps, surrounded by nature and a forest as a playground and only 5min from downtown Thonon. We welcome 80 to 85 children from 3 to 15 years old in 4 different ambience.

POSITION PROFIL
As a co-educator, part of a team of educators, and under the responsibility of the director, you will provide support to children aged 6-9 years.
• Accompany the child in his/her learning according to his/her needs and his/her own rhythm
• Be able to make clear and relevant presentations, adapting to the child, according to the pedagogical choices defined by the school’s management
• Accompany the child in his psychological development in a benevolent manner by being attentive to his/her needs
• Accompany the child in the care of his/her person
• Plan and monitor the children’s progress on Transparent Classroom
• Organize outings outside the classroom environment
• Bringing the classroom environment to life through themes and projects

• Prepare the environment in a harmonious way
• Ensure that sufficient materials and supplies are always available by communicating needs to the school administration
• Maintain the environment in a clean and neat condition, participating in the cleaning of the equipment and premises, and if necessary, in minor repairs to the environment
• Ensure that the child can move safely within the premises

• Communicate in a caring manner with the other members of the pedagogical team; exchange observations made with the children; decide together on improvements to be made within the environment
• Carry out your mission according to the recommendations of the school’s direction

• Create and maintain a link with the parents by exchanging regularly with them
• Discuss the follow-up of their child, through meetings (min 3 per year)
• Participate in meetings after the child’s registration and before his/her arrival at the school

• Actively participate in open house events or any other action aimed at promoting the school and its development
• Any mission may be added to the educator’s mission according to the needs of the school and its environment, after discussion within the team, and at the request of the school’s
management

Type of contract: CDI, full time
Remuneration: to be defined according to experience

TRAINING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
– Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree
– Holder of a 6-12 Montessori diploma
– Native English speaker, able to understand a minimum of French
– Non-Violent-Communication training is a plus
– Minimum 2 years of experience
– Respect of the child as a core value
– Enthusiasm, empathy, autonomy, desire to learn and grow together as a team
– A strong sense of teamwork (fluid communication, constructive exchanges).
