Primary Lead Teacher in Franklin, Massachusetts

Head Teacher for Primary Level

Sunrise Montessori School seeks a qualified Montessori Head Teacher to join us for the 2021-2022 school year. This position begins September 2021.

Applicants must have the following certifications to be considered for the position:

Certification from MACTE-accredited institutions

Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Qualified as a Lead Teacher by the Massachusetts DEEC
Current CPR and First Aid

Hours are full time from 8:00am to 3:00pm, (35 hours per week), Monday through Friday. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid sick days, personal days, Federal holidays, compensation for up to 20 hours of PDP workshops/seminars, discount for employee’s enrolled child/ren and individual annual membership in the American Montessori Society.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the classroom Assistant Teacher and other school staff. He/she must effectively plan, prepare and present lessons for a range of ages and ability levels.

Sunrise Montessori School has served children in the Franklin, MA area and surrounding towns since 2005 with Preschool, pre-K transitional and Kindergarten programs. We seek enthusiastic teachers who bring several years of classroom experience with them, and who are willing to learn new things as well as share knowledge with colleagues. Our classes have been in-person throughout the current school year.
