Joyful Scholars Montessori School in beautiful, outdoor haven Wenatchee, WA seeks Lead Elementary Guide.

Joyful Scholars Montessori provides a holistic preK-12th grade education, rooted in the philosophy of Maria Montessori; a child centered education that empowers students to understand the world around them and their place in it, and to make valuable contributions to society.  Our areas of emphasis include Spanish-language acquisition, high-level literacy and language development, natural studies and mathematics, global awareness and environmental appreciation, civic engagement, social responsibility, and peace education.

Our year round schedule is ideal for student retention, as well as teacher rejuvenation and planning. Joyful Scholars is a collaborative and supportive community of educators, who all share a genuine love for their work. We are looking for a like minded individual to join our joyful community as our lead lower elementary guide.

Qualifications:

• 6-9 Montessori Certificate

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred)

• Experience working with elementary aged children (previous experience with Montessori, and other models of progressive education preferred)

• Warm, nurturing, positive, peaceful, patient and joyful nature

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual

• Expertise in any areas relevant to education: art, music, dance, drama, animal caretaking, outdoor pursuits, cooking, sewing, farming/gardening etc.

• Familiarity with Love & Logic
