Lighthouse Montessori School is seeking a Co-Lead Montessori Teacher to join our community for the 2021-2022 school year. For the right candidate, we will consider employment during spring 2021. Lighthouse Montessori School is currently seeking a Co-Lead Montessori Teacher for our Primary Classroom for the Afternoon Work cycle.
Lighthouse Montessori School is a beautiful and bright school located north of downtown Seattle in the charming neighborhood of Ballard. We have a fully equipped learning environment with extensions to the outdoors.
Position summary:
The Lead Montessori Teacher will implement the curriculum in a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth and development.
Facilitate classroom activities.
Acknowledges and encourages diversity and varying viewpoints by providing images and experiences that reflect the local and global communities.
Create engaging, age-appropriate lessons while holding true to the Montessori Model.
Establish classroom management utilizing Positive Discipline and Nonviolent Communication methods.
Encourage and assist in positive social interactions.
Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times.
Experience and Education:
AMI, AMS, or IMC certification.
Knowledgeable about Montessori philosophy and materials.
2+ years of experience in a Montessori classroom.
Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
