Primary, Lower Elementary Guides in Ellijay, Georgia

Pleasant Hills Montessori School is an established Montessori School celebrating our 20th year. PHMS is  Georgia Accredited, located in North West Georgia in Ellijay.

PHMS is now accepting applications for full-time Lead Primary & Lower Elementary Montessori Teachers. Our classrooms are complete with 20 students (with an assistant teacher) for the 2022-2023 school year.

This position is Monday through Friday from 7:45 am- 3:45 pm during the school year ( August-May ).

Our campus offers three communities, Primary, Elementary, and the Learning Center for middle & high school students. Large outdoor environment including a half-in-earth greenhouse, fruit trees, gardens with a large outdoor environment. PHMS encourages field trips for all communities.

Negotiable Salary, depending on experience can include housing at a discounted rental rate. Ellijay, the Apple Capital of Georgia offers a lot of extracurricular activities for teachers and families including but not limited to,  hiking, biking, lakes, camping, wineries, local theaters, and more.

Lead Teacher Qualifications:

• • Associates or Bachelors degree in education or related field preferred

• •  Montessori teaching credentials

• • Must complete a Criminal Background Check

• • Understanding of and commitment to Montessori philosophy as well as early childhood best practices

• .Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• • Ability to develop a strong connection with children and families

• • Effective time management and organizational skills

• • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance community

• • Must complete a First Aid/CPR certification

• • Kind, thoughtful, and strong at guiding children in self-motivated learning and helping stimulate their natural desire to learn

• • Qualified, enthusiastic, energetic, and nurturing individuals

• Establish and maintain a Montessori Classroom.
