Upper Elementary Teacher in Mansfield, Massachusetts

Hands-On Montessori School in Mansfield, MA is seeking an experienced Upper Elementary Teacher with an innovative mindset and desire to grow and learn to join our multi-age elementary classroom beginning in August 2021.

Established in 2003, Hands-On Montessori School is an independent, coeducational day school for students from 18 months through 12 years. We seek enthusiastic, experience teachers who are willing to learn and share with students and staff alike. During the pandemic, we have safely enjoyed in person learning since September 9th, 2021.

Qualified applicants must have:

• B.A./B.S & Montessori certification, 9-12 preferred (training available for qualified candidate)
• The ability to team-teach using a variety of instructional methods
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children at this age level
• Proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• A strong foundation in and understanding of Montessori philosophy and pedagogy, as well as an interest in current educational research and innovative practices
• Experience using Orton Gillingham and/or Fountas and Pinnell a plus
• Willingness to work with peers in day-to-day activities, instruction, classroom management, transitions, recess, technology, experiential learning, and parent communication
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Proficiency with technology
